To whom it may touch
After 14 years of observing from the outside, and sharing my stories through the dancers I’ve worked with, I’ve decided to speak for myself in the first person, instead of being spoken through others. My collaboration with Yankale Filtser began in 2019 and has deepened over the past five years. The line between work, family, and friendship has blurred, so I asked him to dance beside me and speak about everything that is between us, and about this path that eventually leads to the creation of a dance piece on stage.
Dafi Altabeb, partner of Nini Moshe and mother of Sofia, is the artistic director and choreographer of her own company. She has been creating with passion since 2005 and is the recipient of the Israeli Ministry of Culture’s Young Choreographer Award in 2012, 2013, and 2016; the Rosenblum Prize from the Tel Aviv Municipality (2014); and the Ministry of Culture’s Performance Award (2018).
