All I Need Workshop
The workshop begins with a class that focuses mainly on improvisations to allow the development of articulation and the precision of the body, which are driving forces in the choreographer’s work. In addition, the class explores body qualities found in All I Need. The notions of extremes, the fullness of the body, and the richness of movements are discussed throughout this warm-up.
The class is followed by the transmission of the company’s repertoire: All I Need, performed during the festival. The intense, fast, and very physical Berserk choreography will be proposed. This part of the piece is the most virtuoso of All I Need, calling for strong technical requirements, precision, and commitment of the body.
As a performer, Edouard Hue experimented with the extremes with choreographers Hofesh Shechter, Damien Jalet, and Olivier Dubois. His appropriation of movement and charisma have honored him with the 2019 Swiss Dance Award “Exceptional Dancer.” In 2021, he created his signature piece, All I Need, which reflects the choreographic singularity of his body research. As a choreographer, he has been regularly asked by well-known companies to create pieces like No Matter for Gauthier Dance Company (Stuttgart-Germany), Titan for Ballet Basel (Basel-Switzerland), and L’Oiseau de Feu in 2023 for the Opéra du Grand Avignon.
