Adi Boutrous | Sound, Ethics, and Aesthetics
Adi Boutros will share thoughts on sound and silence in the creation and the search for ethics in aesthetics. The workshop will include a discussion and repertoire materials from his work, Reflections.
Adi Boutrous, born in 1989, studied at Matte Asher School for Performing Arts in Kibbutz Gaaton and then at The Maslool – School Of Contemporary Dance Bikurey Ha’Itim Center Tel Aviv – Jaffa. After making his name as a dancer and choreographer in Israel, he gained international recognition. Rooted in conveying moral ideas, his works seek to reveal the essence and intimate expression. It is a performative state developed since his debut creation, What Really Makes Me Mad, for which he was awarded first prize at the 2013 “Shades in Dance” competition. In 2022, Adi Boutrous received The Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports Award for Creation in Dance for his body of works.
