The Work
The evening presented at Tel Aviv Dance Festival 2023 will also be presented at the renowned Theatre de la Ville in Paris in January 2024. The selected artists participating in the program come from diverse professional, personal, social, and political backgrounds. They challenge Israeli dance’s norms and traditional image, widely recognized for its energetic, rhythmic, and explosive qualities. These artists are driven to find their personal voices and explore their socio-political identities within the intricate fabric of Israeli culture. Through this program, we have the opportunity to discover a new generation of creators who infuse the world of Israeli dance with additional, realistic, and nuanced colors.
The Program
is an annual platform for new creators, initiated by Suzanne Dellal Centre’s artistic director, Naomi Perlov, and designed to provide a platform for the future generation. It is a professional and international springboard dealing with the process of identifying and defining the artists’ artistic voice and developing composition tools and an original language.
